So I got a few of the girl's party ideas from other blogs on the internet so I thought I would share some of the ideas I used and some of my own ideas. That way others can use them too! Details, details, details. I am very into the details. This year i decided the details were what was going to make this party cute. As guests were arriving i had Rapunzel coloring sheets out and the Tangled dvd playing.
Decor and games: For starters, I bought this castle tent bc it looked kinda like a tower. The girls will not call it anything else. lol I knew it would be a cute birthday present and work for my "tower of presents" We had all the guests put their gifts in the tower and I used one of the girls Rapunzel toddler dolls out the window with a long yarn braid I had made. lol
Next they played Pin the Braid on Rapunzel. Instructions how I made the braids are below.
Well these centerpieces were a complete accident. lol I wanted all the balloons to be shaped like flowers and when i went to get them they were TINY! So i quickly had them air up more balloons and took the small ones too to use as the centerpieces.
I knew i needed paper lanterns to hang from the ceiling. We hung them all around and it was really cute. The girls were excited about their "floating lights"
The Pascal cookies and braids: I got the idea for the cookies on some cupcakes I saw on the Disney website. If you ever are having a Disney themed party go to that website! They have some really cute ideas! I figured we already had cupcakes so the cookies would be cute to take home. I just made round sugar cookies and colored the icing green. You use the gumdrops and chocolate chips for the eyes. Then darker green squirt icing for the rest. And for the braids for "pin the braid on Rapunzel" I just braided some yarn and tied some cute purple ribbon at the bottom. To stick it to the picture I just used those double stick adhesive squares. They worked perfect.
The personalized water bottles I thought was a nice touch ;). I just went to etsy and had a lady custom make them with the twins names and year. 4.99! and you just print them out from your home computer and wrap them and tape them on the water bottle. They even had little "nutrition facts" and "ingredients" So adorable and a great party favor for guests to take home. Very easy and very affordable!~
Next, the jello water with orange slice boats. The idea is inspired form the part in the movie where Flynn and Rapunzel are on the boat in the middle of the water about to see the "floating lights" I got this idea off another blogger. Just make the jello but let it chill in clear plastic cups, then cut orange slices and use the same sucker sticks and the same printer paper you will use to make the cupcake toppers, to make the sails. Very simple, cheap, and looks so colorful and festive. Taste really yummy too. Also if you get sugar free jello, it's not a heavy snack at all for the kiddos.
The cupcake toppers for the red velvet cupcakes: I saw on etsy you can purchase like 12 for 10 bucks. I was thinking no way. I can make these. lol I already had the sticks at home. They were from Michaels for like 2 bucks. It came with 50. It's the ones you used to make homemade suckers and stuff. I typed some things on a word document like their names, Happy Birthday, etc then i simply cut them out with those weird design scissors and glued them on colored printer paper. Then i just hot glue gunned them to the sticks. Very easy. The Tangled themed sticks were simply just stickers I bought at Walmart for $1.50, stuck them on the paper, then cut them out.
I loved how colorful everything was! Most of all I loved that my daughters enjoyed everything about it! Everything I did, I did it for them! I love them more than anything in the world and no matter how many people came, I wanted them to feel special and they did! Seeing them squeal after each gift and watching them blow out candles was priceless. Cant believe my babies are growing so fast. I know this was way long but I hope it helps some people out with their Tangled party!
